Introduction
I am a consultant rheumatologist with over 15 years’ experience, working in NHS and private practice. I welcome enquiries concerning personal injury and other medicolegal matters within my specialist expertise.
Areas of expertise
My clinical practice covers inflammatory arthritis, autoimmune disease and the assessment of persistent joint and musculoskeletal symptoms. Areas in which I can consider instructions include:
- Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis
- Lupus, Sjögren’s disease and other connective tissue diseases
- Fibromyalgia and widespread musculoskeletal pain
- Gout and other crystal arthritis
- Osteoporosis and fragility fractures
- Persistent joint pain, stiffness and swelling
Where relevant to the instruction, my assessment can address diagnosis, causation, prognosis and the impact of symptoms on daily activities and work.
Each enquiry is reviewed individually to confirm that the questions fall within my expertise.
Clinical background and training
My NHS practice is at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I also practise privately in south-east London and Kent.
My experience includes the management of complex rheumatic disease and more than ten years’ involvement in a specialist lupus clinic. I previously worked at consultant level in acute medicine between 2013 and 2020.
I completed the Inspire MediLaw Expert Witness Training course in September 2024.
Medicolegal CV available on request.
Making an instruction
Please email a brief outline of the case, the questions you would like addressed and any relevant deadlines.
Before accepting an instruction, I will confirm suitability, check for conflicts of interest and provide details of fees, availability and anticipated timescales. Preliminary review of records can also be discussed.
